A little Family History of this Sale Written by the Family:
In my grandparents early years of marriage, my Grandfather volunteered for service in World War ll. He fought in the Battle at Bastogne and was wounded on Christmas day. He received a Purple Heart for his service. After he recovered, they lived in various California towns until they finally found a place to settle here in Placerville. They moved a couple of times but then bought this home in 1960. My grandparents lived in Placerville for over 50 years. My Grandpa worked for the Forest Service for 20 years and retired as Chief Mechanic. My Grandmother worked in some well know shops here in Placerville like The Working Man’s Store, Cash Mercantile and finely retired after working for an ophthalmologist for several years. They both were hard workers, dedicated and very active in their church and wonderful grandparents.
My Grandpa’s motto was “A place for everything and everything in its place.”
My Grandma’s motto was “Our door is always open and there’s always a place at the table for you.”
We were very lucky to be able to live next door to our Grandparents growing up. It gave the grand kids dinner and dessert options! After church, Sunday dinners year round and in the summer, homemade ice cream was guaranteed!
This sale is full of Historic Treasures and Antiques, it is definitely a must see sale!
